CLINCH NIGHT · WEDNESDAY TO FRIDAY
Clinch Night used to run on Wednesday, on the same mats along the back wall that Kelsey uses for Muay Thai Fundamentals at 7:30. That meant sixteen people clinching a few feet from twenty beginners learning to teep. Nobody got hurt, but everybody was watching the wrong partner.
Bank asked for a night when the mats were his for ninety minutes, and Friday at 7:00 PM was the only evening nothing else needed them.
We expected Friday to be quieter. It was not. Within a month of the move the list was full most weeks, mostly with people who could never make a weeknight before.

The one cost was Saturday Sparring. A few Fight Team members do both, and ninety minutes of clinch the night before sparring at 11:00 is a lot, so Mari now asks anyone who is cutting weight to pick one.
