What actually happens in your first Boxing Fundamentals class, minute by minute

Boxing Fundamentals, Tuesday or Thursday at 6:30 PM with Mari. It runs on a six week loop on purpose, so there is no bad week to walk in on. Do not start in the 7:30 Muay Thai Technical class; if you show up to that one Bank will politely point you at the other side of the room.

Bring water and clothes you can sweat in. We keep loaner gloves in the bin by the door in 12, 14, and 16 ounce, and hand wraps are $12 at the desk. Shoes on for boxing, bare feet on the mats for Muay Thai.

I came to Boxing Fundamentals on a Tuesday and stood in the back row for about two months. Mari never once called me out for hiding back there, she just kept walking over and fixing my left hand.

Nobody spars in this class and Mari will not ask you to. Sparring happens in exactly two places, Saturday at 11:00 AM and Friday Clinch Night, and both require you to ask a coach to add you.
